Navigation and layout

How the sidebar, header, and main content area work together.

PM One uses a sidebar-plus-header layout. The sidebar holds your main navigation, the header gives you quick access to your account, and the center is where you do your work.

What you will learn

  • How the sidebar is organized
  • What the header controls do
  • How to navigate on mobile

Sidebar

The left sidebar groups menu items into sections:

Core - Dashboard, Inbox, Projects, Events, Brands, Contact List. These are the features you will use most.

Tools - Tasks, Short Links, Link Pages, QR Code Generator, Form Builder, Posts, Web Analytics, AI Chat. Utility features that support your main workflows.

Admin - Users, Exhibitor PICs, Roles, Permissions, API Consumers, Google Analytics Properties, Activity Logs, Settings. These appear only if your role has the right permissions.

Others - Docs, Colors, Exchange Rate, Database Diagram. Reference tools.

You can collapse the sidebar by clicking the toggle button at the top. On smaller screens, it becomes a slide-out drawer.

Permission filtering

You only see menu items your role allows. If something is missing from your sidebar, check with your admin about your assigned permissions.

Header

The header bar contains:

  • Sidebar toggle (hamburger icon) on the left
  • Notification bell showing unread count
  • Color mode toggle to switch between light and dark themes
  • Your avatar, which opens a dropdown with profile, settings, and logout links

Mobile navigation

On phones and tablets, the sidebar hides by default. Tap the hamburger icon in the header to slide it open. Tap any menu item to navigate, and the drawer closes automatically.

Common questions

Q: I can see a menu item but get a "forbidden" error when I click it.

Your role might have partial permissions. For example, you might have projects.read but not projects.write. Ask your admin to check your permission set.
